Work Experiences

Mr. Ding received both his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical design and manufacturing, and automation from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1995, and 2002 respectively.  After graduation, he joined FOXCONN as a patent engineer, and was admitted to practice law in China in 2005. Mr. Ding got training on patent application drafting, patent prosecution, patent portfolio design and layout there.

 

Mr. Ding joined CPA after he was qualified as attorney at law, and started to practice patent law there, representing quite a number of know companies, including Intel, Samson, Otis, GE, GM, etc. Mr. Ding was also trained in the practice of patent laws in U.S. and Europe.

 

Mr. Ding established his own patent agency, Shenzhen Wispro, with a group of professionals in 2007. Five years later, Mr. Ding expanded Wispro to establish its affiliated law firm, Junlong, dedicated to engage in the practice of intellectual property law, including legal counseling, patent, trademark and copyrights infringement litigations, arbitration, IP licensing and due diligence.

Practice Experiences

Mr. Ding has both qualifications as an attorney at law and a patent agent in China. He has long focused on patent dispute resolution, especially in patent, trademark, trade secret and unfair competition, and has been a leader in non-litigation business in intellectual property transfer transactions, FTO investigation and analysis, patent layout, patent mining, and patent applications.

Mr. Ding has represented his clients to win quite a number of high-profile cases, some of which were elected as typical intellectual property cases of the year across the nation:

  1. Mr. Ding represented the Plaintiff to sue the defendant infringing integrated circuit layout design proprietary rights, and won the case after a final instance trial by the Supreme People’s Court. The case was elected as one of the “TOP ten nationwide intellectual property rights related cases of 2020”.
  2. Mr. Ding led the legal team to carry out an analysis with respect to the patent infringement cases decided by Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court from 2013 to 2016, and finally published an intensive legal white paper of 2017, which won a gold medal and thus was funded by Shenzhen Administration of Market Regulation.
  3. Mr. Ding represented Suzhou Saixin to sue the defendant infringing integrated circuit layout design proprietary rights. This case was elected a typical intellectual property dispute case across the courts located in Guangdong province.
  4. Mr. Ding was engaged as a leading counsel by a number of known tech giants, including Shokz and Chic, Netac, to initiate all-round patent right infringement actions in China, providing comprehensive support for the clients’ IP rights.
  5. Led by Mr. Ding, the director of the firm, Junlong Law Firm has won some nationwide honors, including “Outstanding Legal Service Team in Guangdong Province” in 2018 and 2019, “Top 10 Rising Intellectual Property Litigation Service Law Firms” in 2020, and became a member law firm of the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Association.
