The 2024 AIPPI World Intellectual Property Congress will be held from October 19 to 22 at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. This marks the first time in the 127-year history of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) that the World Intellectual Property Congress is being held in China.
The theme of this congress is “Balanced Protection of Intellectual Property and Innovative Development,” aiming to explore the balance between IP protection and innovation, as well as how the IP system can promote innovative development in the socio-economic sphere.
According to official statistics, the total number of registered participants for this congress has reached 2,259, making it the largest attendance outside of Europe in AIPPI’s history. Participants come from 92 countries and regions, with over 1,500 from abroad. The number of participating countries and regions has set a new record for AIPPI congresses.
